4. Computer Component Compatibility

Computer components must be compatible with the customer’s computer system.

This may include compatibility relating to:

  • Graphics cards

  • Laptop models

  • Screen specifications

  • Battery models

  • Operating systems

Customers are responsible for providing accurate computer model and specification information when requesting compatibility advice.

Where Compvate recommends a component based on information provided by the customer, the customer remains responsible for confirming the accuracy of the information supplied.

Where Compvate supplies and installs the component, installation will be performed according to the agreed service requirements.


5. Prices

All prices displayed on the website are in Kenya Shillings (KES) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without prior notice.

The price applicable to an order will normally be the price displayed when the order is placed, subject to confirmation and availability.

Where an obvious pricing error occurs, Compvate reserves the right to contact the customer before processing the order.

If an order cannot be fulfilled because of a genuine pricing or listing error, Compvate will notify the customer and refund any payment made for the affected order.


6. Product Availability

Products displayed on our website are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your shopping cart does not necessarily reserve the product.

If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, Compvate may:

12. Click & Collect

Where Compvate offers a collection option, customers may collect eligible orders from the designated collection location after receiving confirmation that the order is ready.

  • Other circumstances beyond our control.


16. Customer Data During Repairs

Customers are responsible for backing up important files and data before submitting a device for repair.

Although reasonable care will be taken when handling customer devices, Compvate is not responsible for loss of data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, customers should remove sensitive personal information or provide appropriate access necessary for the agreed repair.


17. Hardware Installation and Upgrades

Where Compvate installs hardware or performs an upgrade, the customer authorizes us to perform the agreed work.

Additional work may require customer approval before charges are incurred.

Installed components remain subject to the applicable manufacturer’s or supplier’s warranty.


18. Software Installation

Where Compvate provides software installation or configuration services, customers are responsible for ensuring that they have valid licenses and authorization to use the software.

Compvate will not knowingly install pirated, unauthorized or illegally obtained software.

Customers are responsible for providing valid license keys where required.


19. IT Support Services

IT support may include troubleshooting, system configuration, maintenance, software installation, networking and related technical services.

Some technical issues may require additional equipment, software, replacement parts or third-party services.

Where additional costs are identified, Compvate will communicate the applicable charges before proceeding where reasonably practical.


20. Third-Party Products and Services

Some products and services supplied by Compvate may be manufactured, licensed or supported by third parties.

Manufacturer warranties, software licenses and third-party terms may apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions.

Compvate will assist customers with warranty or support matters where reasonably possible, but third-party terms may determine the available remedy.


21. Intellectual Property

All content on the Compvate website, including:
